I bought a Kindle to take on a 2 week vacation because I needed books to read and who knew what kind I’d want to read. Seriously I love reading and I find the Kindle very easy to hold and manage. I probably buy even more books because it is so darn easy to down load those books.
My husband is happy because I am not adding more bookcases to our house for my keeper books. The one thing that is hard is that I can’t share my books as easily with my daughters. I don’t share my Kindle and I’m not ready to buy them one. If we go to the I-phone then we can share.

I have a nook from Barnes & Noble, and I love it! I got it because I am generally a big fan of B&N and because I could test it out in the store before buying it. I also love how easy it is to get library books on it. I recommend it to anyone who asks about it…it has changed my entire reading experience! With its help, I have already read 45 books this year!

I use the Kindle for iPhone app, and love it. I always have my phone with me, so I always have books with me — I never have to worry about having a physical book with me, and I don’t have to remember to take a long a separate ereader appliance. I have all kinds of books on the phone, and if I don’t happen to have anything I want to read at the time, I can purchase something immediately, or get free samples if I don’t know for sure what I want. I also like that it’s small, can can be held in one hand, and I like that the iPhone is backlit, so I can read it in the dark. For me, it’s perfect.

I like the sonys. Easy to get books from the library and as I have many computers not hard to get them from the net either.

I have a nook. I had many gift cards and it ended up being free which was the deciding factor. I don’t think it’s quite perfect, but I do recommend it to friends and find I enjoy it a lot more than I expected to when I purchased. I’m still in the transition between what to buy in book form and what to buy in ebook form, but I’m getting there. I’m finishing up open series in book form and have pretty much made the switch everywhere else and have rebought favorites as well. I like the option of connecting to the store and going to the store for help (which I’ve done a lot as well as called the 800 number twice because I’m an idiot) as well as the in-store features, too.

I’m a serious Kindle fan.

I have a Kindle 2. Its primary function is to display books for reading and it does that very well. My biggest complaint is that you can’t segregate books into folders. A few days ago Amazon announced an upgrade that will be out soon that will allow that. Then the Kindle will be perfect.

Not sure which one I would like, if any…I really love to be able to curl up with an actual book in my hands.

I have a kindle, and I love it. My favorite thing about my Kindle is that I can upload my own work while I am in the final editing process. I can make notes and highlights on my own manuscripts while finalizing them for review. I also carry research books on my kindle while I am in the midst of writing a novel. It is a huge relief to no longer lug a ton of weight around with me when I am traveling.

I love the Kindle 2. It is awesome. I love that I can have it in my purse with me at all times. Just got back from vacation and it was wonderful. The ONLY suggestion that I would like to see addressed is that it is not backlit and I have to have a light on to read. My husband hates when I read in bed and I refuse to get up. That would have solved a problem but that is the only suggestion that I have.

I have the Sony Reader Touch screen. I like it although there is nothing like holding a real paper back in your hands. And I can’t take the reader in the bath 🙂 I like being able to keep notes on it. My husband bought it for me and my favorite feature is library downloads.

I have the “dinosaur” eBookwise, (and I’m re-reading Snowfall at Willow Lake on it now). It suits my needs fine–especially the back light, since we just moved and haven’t unpacked the bedroom lamps yet. Found the shades, but not the bases.) And considering all the books we moved, and that we have a much smaller place and no bookshelves yet, I’m doing more e-reading.

I’m typing this on an iPad and I love it! But I also have a Sony reader, Nook and Kindle 2. Of all of these, I prefer my Kindle. My husband was tired of my filling each nook and cranny of our tiny house with the real thing – books! I work at our local university and take a vanpool to work. I get more reading done now than I ever have. I still LOVE bookstores and libraries, but I could not live without my e-reader.
