  1. Ooh. Looks snowish.

We’re supposed to have high winds in our area (Southern Indiana) tomorrow. I’ll be spending the day under a heavy piece of furniture. Last September, Hurricane Ike came up here, and that was scary stuff. I managed to drown out the sound of the winds, at least part of the time, by reading TABLE FOR FIVE. I kid you not.

  3. Pass the snow please!!!!
The heat has picked up down here in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am so tired of it!!!! I was born and raised in North Carolina so I miss the winter and time by the fireside each evening reading. And I’m glad you took that winter dip in your pool for Fireside before this twist!!! That could have been ….interesting!!!! Be Careful and take more pictures!!!LOL

  5. Well at least it is not a foot or more like we have had each day for the past month.
We have mild weather up here in Ontario, with sunshine and the snow is melting, but come Friday, the temps are gonna drop again and we will have to dress like Nantuk of the North again.

SO I will content myself with reading the rest of “Fireside” to keep me warm. I want to finish it by tomorrow, because I am having some eye surgery on Friday and won’t be able to read for a few days. And that will be the worst thing in the world for me.

  7. Wow! Snow. . .now that’s cold but very cool!

Last week it hailed and was very wet, windy and rainy.

If we were at a higher elevation it probably would have snowed.

Some of the streets here in Covina, were flooded from the
heavy rain but, no serious damage was done thank goodness.

This morning as I stepped out the front door and onto the
porch to pick up the morning papers, I looked up the street
towards the mountains and it was so clear. I could see from
one end of the mountain range to the other.

The lower foothills and Mt. Baldy here are all covered with
snow. It looks as if someone sprinkled them with powered
sugar. It’s a good night to bake some cookies and make some
    hot chocolate.

Afterwards, I’ll curl up and snuggle with my hubby and dog (who
both hog the covers and snore) and finish reading FIRESIDE.

We’re expecting more rain and another nasty storm at 3:00a.m.
I don’t ever recall it being this cold, windy, wet or nasty here in
    Southern CA.

Well, stay safe, and warm everyone and Happy Reading!
