Is there really any better month than June? June marks the beginning of summer and all the wonderful things that come with it— the opening of beaches and pools, flowers in full bloom, the return of white pants (!), farmers markets. And let’s not forget about the longer days, warmer nights, and long-awaited vacations!Summer gives us all the good things in life, including some extra opportunities to read. Whether on the beach on a tropical vacation, by the local pool, or on a park bench on your lunch hour, reading is an essential joy of summer. I wanted to share with you some of my book picks for Summer 2012— some classics, some perfect for the beach, and some brand new novels from authors I love. I hope this list inspires you to pick up something new or return to one of your old favorites!Classics

    Summer’s Lease by John Mortimer and

    Beachcombing at Miramar by Richard Bode.

    Oldies but goodies.
