  1. Sorry I just want to cry – I couldn’t get the Lakeshore Christmas at a number of stores in my town and have had to order it online which is going to take maybe a couple of weeks. I couldn’t believe that some of the more reputable stores didn’t have it yet:( Admittedly I live in country Victoria in Australia, but we have needs too. So looks like I’ll be wallowing in self pity until it arrives.

  3. Sorry everyone, I’m not trying to overdo the quote thing, but someone sent me another great one today:

“Guard well within yourself that treasure, kindness. Know how to give without hesitation, how to lose without regret, how to acquire without meanness.” George Sand

Carmel – I’m so sorry about your difficulty obtaining the book. I’d be happy to send you a copy if it would get there any faster than you having to order it? Just a thought, still six days (or is it five?) left of the contest. Good luck to all!

  5. Thanks for your knidness Janet but I’ll just wait it out – I’ll just be excited to have the book when it arrives even if it takes a little longer, I think possibly if I lived it the city it may have been a different story but unfortuately that happens. Thanks anyway.
By the way I like the quote to.
    Cheers

  7. Carmel, have you ever tried BetterWorldBooks.com? It’s my favorite online bookseller. You can either buy new or used, and the proceeds go to world literacy. Their intl shipping is way lower than anywhere else I’ve seen $2.95, I think.

    1. Thanks Lou, but I’ve ordered yesterday and paid so I’ll just wait. I wish I had preordered but forgot, silly me! Should be finished with Fireside tonight – I’ve loved this one like the others so really looking forward to the next instalment. I’ll keep that online company in mind, thanks.
