Three things I’m grateful for:
- florists. I love the grace and instant gratification of sending something RIGHT NOW and knowing it’s beautiful. I have a girlfriend who was having a tough day, and I was able to phone a florist in her building and have something sent right up.
- Earl Grey tea with lavender honey, in my polka dot mug from Jan.
- this exuberant painting by my friend Sally. It’s from her illustrated travel journal, depicting her visit to my yard, including Barkis, a coyote and raccoon we saw along the road.
What are you grateful for today?

I continue to be grateful for this exercise Susan – as a young friend has said to me to “always look for the good and the good will take over”!
I am grateful for our tiny rural hospital having the newest machines to test with (and a great scheduling person, four tests done in two hours ! Unheard of !!! )
I am grateful for my friends blogs who show me a glimpse of the world that I don’t see from my doorway.

I caught a bug. I’m grateful I am able to take a day off and not get everybody else. I’m grateful, because the day off means I can spend a few extra hours working on NaNoWriMo. I am grateful for chicken soup. I am grateful for medicine.

I am grateful for….
this 3rd day of rain….i can feel the water seeping through the earth’s pores into the heartland of the aquifers, replenishing and revitalizing. This warm cup of coffee….this light by my side…my cat digging in my strawberry patch….this technology that will send these words and thoughts to all of you!

So, I bought a new computer – build just for me, lots of ram. I also want to use my old computer – it has some very important accounting information that has not been transferred over yet. Hooking up the old computer – no screen, no “hello”, nothing. Panic rising. Heart pounding. I take the old computer and monitor back asking for HELP. Help arrived.
I am grateful for the young (gorgeous by the way) man who said, “It was a monitor problem. Everything is working fine.”
I am grateful for his manners, for not saying, “You hooked up the monitor to the wrong video card.” (There are 2, I forgot which one I was using.)
I am grateful I can see all my “STUFF” and the old computer is working just fine. The operator has had a sweet cup of tea, toast with peanut butter and jam. All is right in my world.
Now I have to hook up the new computer. If I need help, there is a gorgeous young man to help if with operator errorrrsss. Oops, errors.

Oops, there is an error in the grammar.

Where is my fan, I feel faint.

I am grateful for how beautiful the lawn looks, covered with a blanket of pink leaves. I am also grateful for how clean it looks after I have raked them all up!

I’m reminding myself to be grateful for my nephew who is sweet and loving. He especially loves his little cousin. I love that he shares. I just wish maybe he didn’t share his cold/flu with me.
I’m grateful for bubble baths.

Oh I entered too soon.
I am grateful for being able to be lazy if I want. Sitting around and listening to my music and reading another great book.
I am grateful that I have another chance to win Super 7 and 649 lotteries this weekend.

I am grateful for my rather challenged coonhound, Bubba. Now if he’d stop baying at the deer in the yard…
I am grateful for chicken nuggets, which is about all Miss 14 cares to eat this week.
I am grateful that my not-husband is learning to fly. He has wanted to his whole life, and he SO deserves to do something just for him.

–I am grateful for my new printer which does everything but tap dance. It’s so huge it needs its own zip code. It has so many useful features, like being able to tell precisely how much black or colored ink is left in the cartridge.
–I’m grateful for friends who are old like me and therefore understand perfectly why I’m forgetful and do things like drive down the wrong side of the road because I think it’s a turn lane.
–I’m grateful for the healing grace of forgiveness.

I am grateful the friends & family who are helping get me through the death of husband of 37 years. Without them, I would be such a mess.
I am grateful for my strong faith in God.
I am grateful for vodka.

Today I am grateful for lazy, bright-sunshiny (?) Saturday mornings. I’m especially grateful for my sweet calico fur purrson who loves me as much as I love her. I’m also grateful that I can take my time with preparations for dinner this evening. It will be an easy meal that we enjoy, and I’ll appreciate it even more because I won’t be rushed!

Today I’m grateful for: Starbucks Non-fat Caramel Macchiatto, The Stephanie Miller Show, and sunshine outside my office window.
