It’s my little sister’s birthday today. She’s a maniac on the slopes, but I’d follow her anywhere.
Lori is the first to read all my books. She’s an expert reader, too, and a PR specialist, getting all her friends to race out and buy them. She spotted the error on page 175 of Snowfall at Willow Lake, something I hope can be corrected in future editions.
Home Before Dark is dedicated to her, a teacher and orientation and mobility specialist for the visually impaired. Other than my daughter, she’s the only person I’ve known every moment of her life. Good thing we get along, eh? Tell me your sister stories!

I don’t have a sister-by-birth, however I probably have one of the oddest sister-by-choice relationships there is. She’s my husband’s first wife. Although I haven’t known her forever, it’s been almost forty years, and she is very much an aunt to my two children who have known her forever (and they are siblings to her son).
Someday this should really end up in a book.

I have a sister. She’s 3 1/2 years younger, but she’s been bigger than me since 1988. We were both adopted at separate times but both from South Korea. Even though we were raised by the same two parents from the same exact age, we’re completely different. She’s a little more competitive and outgoing initially but more reserved when she becomes your friend. She’s loyal to a fault. I’m shy at first and, once I’m comfortable, all bets are off. We’ve always been a good pair. Because of our differences, we were never enemies. We have just enough in common to be good friends. I think we’re almost closer now than ever. Plus, and I don’t know if it’s because we’re not that close with our cousins, we’re raising our kids to be almost siblings. They see each other almost every week and her son is super protective of our daughter. It’s nice to see (so far!) our kids being close as well.

Mommy, you’re the closest thing I have to a sister, and that’s a-okay by moi!

I have two sisters, but we don’t get along. I suppose it’s alright on some level. I have a friend that is closer than a sister.
My curiosity has the best of me. What is the typo? I’ve looked but other than it possible could have said “and a salad.” I”m not sure.
