Dr. Seuss is my hero for a lot of reasons. The perfect quote above is one of those reasons. Also, I collect his art. I admire his career. Did you know, he never took an advance from a publisher? Which probably makes him a hero to publishers as well…

  3. One time I was busy writing on my laptop while sitting on the sidelines of a boy scout meeting. A little boy about 3 kept coming to visit me and asked what I was doing. When I told him I was writing a book he looked at me with wide-eyed wonder and said, “I know who you are. You’re Dr. Seuss!”
