Shrieks of elation! Dockside is #4 on the New York Times bestseller list, #3 on the Publishers Weekly list, #14 on the USA Today list and <<drumroll>> #1 on the Walden/Borders bestseller list. Also, my agent reports that the Book Page of the Boston Globe had a Box called “The Top 5” Romance Novels in New England. It went: 1. Nora Roberts – High Noon, 2. Susan Wiggs – Dockside, 3. Liz Carlyle, 4. Jude Deveraux, 5. Debbie Macomber – Country Brides. Calloo! Callay! (I’m fainting with the news and setting a record for exclamation points in a single post!) Thanks to all for buying the book! Flowers and bubbly all around!

Congratulations! to the MY Favorite Writer!
I don’t know how to describe what I feel right now- I don’t have words – and you know that isn’t usually a problem for me!
When my daughter got promoted after less than a year with her new employer. It wasn’t just any promotion – it was a mega promotion.
The company is a Staffing company with 5,700 client companies, 100,000 worksite employees and 1,700 corporate employees.
And they recruited the top 10 recruiters in the company to join a special SWAT team.
I thought I was so proud I would BUST! But then I realized it isn’t really pride – She turned out soo much better than than I expected – that I don’t deserve any credit for her success! …but I am thrilled beyond belief by her success!
…and that is how I feel about you hitting the top of the charts.
I know I didn’t have anything to do with it! But, I am dizzy6 with the excitement of it all!
God Bless Ya’ll,
Ray

Of course it shows that we all have excellent taste in who our authors are! I for one have my TOP 3 on those lists: Obviously you, Nora Roberts and Debbie Macomber…..who I am so anticipating on meeting on Aug 22nd! Susan – hope you can swing it with your Barnes & Noble folks to visit the Milwaukee area!

I was wondering why I was told exclamation points were back ordered and I haven’t received my shipment…
CONGRATULATIONS
(I can at least use all caps)

Susan, Congratulation! You deserve every bit of it and more. I took a little workshop with you in February at Cannon Beach and haven’t forgotten what an inspiration you were to me. I dropped off the planet when I found out my world was to be consumed with baby bottles and diapers come November but I check back here often and silently cheer you on.

Laura
Laura, November is when our baby is expected (and we named her Laura actually).
Anyways, congratulations! Always new those new Englanders were smart folk. What are the other regions reading?
Anytime you’re on the top tier of any list, it’s a great feeling, I bet, especially in an industry where you mostly work alone. As a fan, it’s always kind of validating to know that you’re not the only one who reads an author. Plus, when you hit the top ten of a best seller list, they do put the books in front in a display at the grocery store, too. 🙂 I always fall sucker to those – you know, if I haven’t already purchased that book.

Fantastic news, Susan! Well done and well deserved after your years of ‘jumping at the sun’. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy here in OZ.
