"Chicago Fire series"

I can't say I am a new reader of Susan Wiggs books - I have enjoyed reading her wonderful books for many years now but this is the first time I've ventured over to the message board.

At the moment I am reading The Chicago Fire series. I couldn't put "The Hostage" down and read it in a day. I am now reading "The Mistress" and enjoying it very much - this doesn't surprise me though I have loved every Susan Wiggs book I've read so far. I am wondering if a book was ever written for Phoebe in this series?

Dianne

Dianne, I really want to write Phoebe's story. I have it all planned out in my head! I hope to make time to write it one day. She was such a brat in the other Chicago books, she needs to redeem herself. Thanks for asking,
Susan

I have just finished reading this trilogy. I thought The Firebrand was wonderful - such a moving well written story. Thank you Susan I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole.

THE FIREBRAND was such a delight to research and write. There was a true story about a little dog that was rescued the same way the little girl was in the book.

Dear Susan,
I LOVE 'The Firebrand!' I reread it often, just like I do CHARM SCHOOL--and now your 'Lakeside Series'...I've gotten hooked on those as well. You remain one of my favorite writers and people--there is a down-home, comfortable, gentle way about you that I truly love and appreciate, and I am so glad you are writing and sharing that bit of yourself--including your recipes!
I want to reciprocate...so here is a VERY simple cookie recipe I know(the best thing I ever got out of a National Enquirer tabloid!).

PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Ingredients

1 cup of peanut butter(smooth or creamy)
1 cup sugar
1 egg

(Assorted things may be added, for fun: chocolate chips, spices, and so on)
Mix ingredients thoroughly.
Drop by teaspoonsful on a cookie sheet(no prep needed on sheet) and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

That's it. This makes a wonderful cookie, and a great recipe to share with a child!
Enjoy the recipe, and let me know how you are doing!
Hugs and love,
Tina
